‘101’ Small Work Show at The Brinton Museum

The Brinton 101 is the 2017 adaptation of TBM’s former Small Works invitational show. The exhibition features nearly 300 works of art in varying media by 101 top notch artists from across the country. Our premise is that a great work of art can be accomplished in a small amount of space, hence the show features paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces in a wide variety of themes and price ranges.

Cultural Crossroads – A group show of Contemporary Native American Art

“Cultural Crossroads” is a group show of Contemporary Native American Art featuring works by Yatika Fields, Shan Goshorn, Allan Houser, Tony Lee, Kevin Red Star and Fritz Scholder, among others. The exhibition is on display through November 18.

Angel Horses of a Different Color
The barn dance will be held at White Aspen ranch once again September 23rd in Billings Montana. The band will be Bruce Hauser and the Sawmill Creek Band. Tickets for the always sold out event are $50.00 for single and $500.00 for a reserved table of eight which includes wine, dinner, dance, live and silent auction and off course the auction of the colts. The colts will be on display at Gallery Interiors downtown Billings, and also at all Farmers Markets and the Montana Fair.

Some of the items for the live auction are two tickets to the Super Bowl, Plus a trip to Hawaii, two behind home plate tickets to either Boston Red Sox Yankee game or Yankee Boston Red Sox game plus the colts and more amazing auction items that you can follow on Angel Horses Facebook page.

99th Annual Crow Fair Celebration Powwow & Rodeo

Includes parades, a four-day powwow, a rodeo and horse races. The Crow Fair Celebration is the largest Native American event in Montana, and one of the biggest powwows in the country. Held each year in Crow Agency, Montana by The Apsáalooke people of the Crow Indian Reservation just South of Hardin, Montana. Also known as the “Tipi Capital of the world”, Crow Fair begins on the third Thursday in August and attracts more than 50,000 spectators and participants from the around the world.

The event will be held at Lions Park in Red Lodge on Saturday, July 8th. The three signature artists will be joined for a day of live outdoor painting by 30 additional Guild artists, and guests will enjoy watching some of the finest artists in our region create. A catered supper with no-host bar and Live and Silent Auctions will complete the evening.

Kevin Red Star paints with bold lines, vibrant colors and a deep respect for his Crow heritage. His imagery is contemporary yet historical in nature. With over 100 exhibitions to his credit across the U.S. and abroad, including one-man shows in Paris, Berlin, Tokyo and Peking, Kevin’s work can be found in permanent and private collections around the world. He has an enormous amount of experience, skill and artistry to share. This 3-day workshop will focus on layering with acrylics using tipis as the inspirational subject matter.
