artist bio
 A Sunny Sky Red Star was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, September 15th 1980. She was immersed in an environment of art, dance, and theater. She would play with her fathers’ paints as a toddler and along with her sister attended the progressive Montessori School at the age of four. In grade school they joined the Latchkey theater Group; an after school program for working parents. Sunny Sky has always enjoyed the arts and has chosen art education as her major in college.
At the age of twelve she and her sister, Merida moved to Montana to be with their father; here she became an avid horse lover and adept at ranch life. Sunny Sky has worked around her fathers’ studio for years; stretching and gessoing his canvases and experimenting with her own ideas. She attended Roberts School for her junior and high school education and went to Rocky Mountain College for one semester; here she participated in two art student exhibitions.
Sunny Sky is presently enrolled at Montana State University-Billings. This is a wonderful opportunity to become an early collector of Sunny Sky’s works! |
